Abstract
The fact that there has been no scientific research about the Goklen and Nohur sub-dialects in Iran area gives this work its significance since it defines the range of these sub-dialects, finds out the contact points of the characteristics of themand highlights the position of them in Turkman Turkish and common Turkish. Furthermore, as a critical material and assessment for a map work which includes all the contact areas of the sub-dialects in the Turkish language and where one can observe the results of the interaction of Turkish language both with other languages and within itselfa research on Goklen and Nohur sub-dialects, whose geography of dialect has not yet been completely defined, is very important. In this research, by considering the aspects above, oral material gathered from Gülistan and North Horasan where Turkman speakers of Goklen and Nohur sub-dialects live in Iran is written down using the diacritic letters of the latest version of IPA published in 2005 and by using these material, the characteristics of the language is examined synchronically, partly diachronically and comparatively in phonological and morphophonological aspects.
