Abstract
In this thesis, liḳā', which is a concept belonging to hadith methodological terminology, has been tried to be revealed as a subject of discussion attributed to alBukhârî and Muslim. Also examined how the scientific atmosphere before the conceptualization process of liḳā' was shaped and how the science was acquired. In the early period, the scientific atmosphere of the period was tried to be interpreted in relation to how the transfer of science developed, the ways of transferring narrations and the place of the concept of liḳā' in the literature. In this context, in the first chapter, the source of the narration works and the methods of taking hadiths are presented in the context of liḳā'. Liḳā's place in the hadith methodology is included with the conceptualization process and quotations from the books of the methodology. In the second chapter, has been scrutinized how liḳā' is evaluated especially in the case of al-Bukhârî and Muslim, two of the most prominent scholars in the history of hadith, around which discussions about the concept are shaped. In the context of Muslim's criticism, the nature of the liḳā' condition attributed to al-Bukhârî was questioned and various determinations were made. There are examples of narrations as a continuation of the subject discussed in the second chapter.
